{ARTICLE} Are You Ready to Step Up to the Plate?

I haven’t talked about it much yet, but flying over to Australia back in November 2019 was a life-changing experience in more ways than I could ever have imagined.

Have you ever planned for a trip or event and just known that everything was going to change for you, that something really big was going to happen? This is how I felt just before I flew to Sydney, I just didn’t know how it was going to show up.

Now here I am two months down the line and I want to catalyse the essence of what I have experienced to gracefully but powerfully challenge you to step up to the plate in your own world and do what you know you need to do.

Before we get into the big stuff, first some compassion… ; )

I know first-hand that knowing you have more inside of you to birth than you are currently living out can feel painful. It feels painful to stay smaller than you know you are and yet the thought of stepping out often scares the living daylights out of us! Yes, this is something I know only too well. I think we all do.

However, when you up your raw food game this ability to keep yourself back and smaller than who you really are ends up taking a LOT of energy. It’s like a plant that wants to grow, that is destined to grow, but that uses every ounce of its energy to stop growing – which is actually a really hard, if not impossible thing to do!

Growth is nature’s way. It’s our destiny, our divine blueprint, our joy. It seems to be just part of the human condition with our crazy mixed up beliefs and toxic heart and mind stuff that creates a bizarre fear around being who we really are and not just growing, but opening up and blossoming like the amazing beings we are.

So what brings me to this topic? Aside from my trip, it’s YOU! As ironic as it may seem most of my raw food coaching is not about raw food at all. Most people learn how to eat raw food pretty quickly in the first few months, and then it is just tweaking and adjusting as required. You may be surprised to learn that most of my work as a coach is spent holding a vision for my clients and supporting them in growing towards that vision and making it be okay.

Of course, it’s more than okay – it’s vital! We don’t just have a responsibility to ourselves and our family to be the best we can possibly be, but I believe also the planet and everyone upon her. This entire Universe has been designed in a way that is completely interconnected and when we don’t step up this has as many knock-on effects, if not more, than when we do.

So here is a three-part challenge for you this week:

Part 1) What one significant change or powerful tweak in your diet or eating habits do you already know would make THE most powerful difference for you right now?

Coaching challenge: Make this change – TODAY, right now from this moment forward and hold yourself to it until we connect again on Friday. Pay attention to anything that comes up for while you do this – it will likely be an unsettling mixture of pleasure and a little “pain”, but deep down you will know it’s the right thing to do.

Part 2) As for above, but this time we’re looking at your home environment. What one thing can you add or remove that will free you up to step more fully into your most powerful, vibrant self?

Coaching challenge: Add or remove this thing (or person!) and FEEL the difference. You know what it is, don’t you? If you won’t give it to yourself or remove it personally then you know it won’t happen, right?

Step 3) Vision – right now you have a vision of where you’d like to be if you took your game to the next level. It might be to lose weight, get fit, change career, move home, find a partner, earn more money… Whatever it is, name it and claim it. You have to place your order with the Universe to get the home delivery!

Coaching challenge: Name your ideal outcome on paper. Be specific, make it measurable. “I want to lose weight” is not specific enough – how many pounds? Write your vision out in a way that inspires you. Make sure it is something you REALLY want. Carry the paper with you everywhere you go and look at it often. Believe it to be yours and see yourself getting what you asked for – then listen for signs, clues or ideas that will help deliver that to you. (Trust me, this works, but bravery is often required!)

If you step up to the plate your life will be incredibly different just a few weeks from now, and possibly even a few days depending on how well you take this on!
